Default My 996 video

I recently got a friend of mine to take a video of my 996 with my recently installed Fabspeed supercup exhaust and I am not sure how much longer I will keep this exhaust before going back to my gundo hack exhaust. Please note that it is significantly louder in real life than the video.

Be sure to turn up your speakers!

Sounds great! Why are you thinking of removing it? Is it too loud and/or droning for you?

What kind of bracket did you have to make for the camera and where did you fasten it?

I couldn't help but notice the exhaust tips dipping under power. How old are your motor mounts? Is this standard even with fresh mounts?

I noticed about the exhaust tips too but the motor mounts were 2 years old only.

I will have to do more testing to see if the engine mounts are still good.

For camera: it just a go pro with suction cup

for the exhaust...ya it is really loud and drone anything under 3k rpm

FWIW - I think it sounds great, but obviously it's not working for you... I've got the maxflow's on my car and they sound similar to yours but probably not as loud (so I've been told) - you may want to check them out...Good luck

Great video, well done. I think it sounds great, but I could see getting tired of it after a while.

the video doesnt do the justice in terms of how loud the car is. It is significantly louder in real life. Beside, it's the drone that is killing my ears.

Are you using stock cats and headers?

Personally I don't like my car sounding like I'm really trying hard to accelerate or going at 100mph when I'm only accelerating gently to 40mph. lol

Also it would even be more embarassing if your car made all that noise and you lost to a BMW 335i.

stock cats and headers

i am thinking high flow cats might be able to reduce the amount of deep drone

Great vid. Here's my semi-crappy vid of my fabspeed with high-flow cats. Sounds quite different. I don't find any drone, and not too loud. I'd actually prefer a slightly more aggressive sound, but pleased with it.

I recently did something similar to one of my cars & ended up doing the same thing! It's ok for awhile but then it definitely starts to bother you! Thanks for Sharing (yeah it doesn't sound so bad in the video)! GL!
