Default 2002 4S Spolier Wall

Just replaced my rear spoiler wall today!

(The accordion style rubber part that located in the back of the spoiler when it rises)

Picked up the part on www.suncoastparts.com

Followed the instructions posted here.. perfect 100% accurate took about an hour while multitasking with a confrence call.

Lots of folks posting about doing it with out removing the top cover of the spoiler - i found that practically impossible and too time consuming ripping my finger tips to shreds and getting no where.

Removing the spoiler cover was easy & cleaned up a ton of leaves and dirt.

Scale of difficulty 1- 10 / - 1 - just easy stuff!

I know this thread is old and untouched, but I'm doing this repair this week and hoping it's as straightforward as it appears to be!

I’m glad you surfaced this. It’s on my list of things to do, too. I just have a few higher priority items to complete first.

This was one of the first things I did on my car 11 years ago. It was ripped to shreds. Really a simple job. Did not have to remove the spoiler top. It has been perfect ever since. After I wash the car and dry it, I raise the spoiler and shoot some silicone spray all over it.

I'm new to the Porsche-world... but this seemed like an easy enough DIY for a guy like me. I'll be doing this (ordered from Pelican) and the rear cabrio shelf replacement (ordered from Suncoast) this week--and then I'm looking at replacing the tension cables for the soft top (really awesome that the one I bought also has the hard top in awesome shape). If I run into any issues then I will a) post here and b) turn in my man-card for being incapable of the most basic task.

No cab here but several DIY's on cable replacement I think said they used the old cable to pull the new cable through, makes it simple.

Followed this video and was done in 45 minutes--piece of cake and what a difference! I mean, it's new and clean rubber versus old rubber torn to shreds
