Yes! Finally, somebody mentioned the sun visors. What's with these things? Could they be any narrower? I drive west in the PM and eastward in the AM. Believe me, those "visors" are next to useless. They cover maybe an inch-and-a-half of the windshield. And that's if the seat is raised 'til your head hits the headliner. Definitely a design flaw. Can we get a class action on this? Impossibly Minor Sun Blockage (IMSB). Anybody else plagued with this issue? My car is way out-of-warranty, so I guess I'll have to continue wedging a big piece of cardboard under the vanity mirror cover, even if POA loses. On a car that was over $70K new? Pretty tacky, IMHO.

Oh, great. As if the regular paranoia isn't enough, now I have visor envy. Ugh!

So, let me get this straight, 'cause I got a 997.2 I got a bigger unit (AKA visor)! Man, I can't wait to lord it up at our next PCA event. Any inadequacies re 991s?!?

Simple fix, take it off and go to the local junk yard and find one form a different car that fits.

That's why I generally only come here to check on the status of Pete's car and for the IHI thread on OT.

Well, when she tells you *that* is easily seven inches I am sure that you now think the visor is nine.

Blackstone hires good writers... The unicorns and rainbows in that summary were priceless.

But without a TBN or TAN data point the oil can't be thoroughly observed.

Has anyone EVER seen a Blackstone analysis that was "bad"? I don't believe that I have.

If you want results without all the extra fluff, with TBN and TAN values as standard, use ALS or a local Caterpillar dealer. Caterpillar is my favorite.

I often wonder if they even type out the responses or if they have pre canned responses to pick from. Maybe the "lab techs" throw a dart to see which message to select?

Yea, I had the same philosophy. Now paying $15K for a replacement engine after it blew up on me. It can happen. I did all the right things - IMSB upgrade with LN Engineering, oil changes every 5000 kilometers. I am not laughing anymore. Hope you get away easier.

Jake,
What or who is ALS? I do a search and I get a bunch of stuff that seems unrelated. I've actually tried to do a search before based on your recommendation and came up with the same thing before.

Also,
On the Blackstone analysis, is it the comments or you just don't trust their results of a UOA? Couldn't we just ignore the comments if the results are correct and if we knew what to look for?
