The foil is at least functional. I get it when guys bring out brand new cars and tape them down. The car is 13 years old. I'm signed up for 16+ track days this year. Paint quality is about the last thing I should be worried about.

Glad to see you're actually treating it like a car, unlike some peeps(cough cough KK)...

The stock airbox is thick plastic and doesn't conduct nearly as much heat as the others.

I really think any metal intake in our cars should come with about 5' of gold high temp foil. My last track day without it the tube measured above 200° right after lapping. With the foil its down to below 145° i.e. you can actually touch it as soon as I pull in.

Had some fun last night. Needed to stiffen up the rear and these hats have been sitting in the garage far too long. New thrust and control arms to boot.

The work last night wasn't actually voluntary, had a hot date with TruLine in Seattle today for a corner balance and alignment. Talked to the guys there midway through and found out what I had been suspecting, the car was a hot mess. The ride heights across the front and rear were even however under load were way off. Although it looked alright the stiffness of the chassis hid a lot of the suspension setup faults.

In short, if you've gone this far pay for a proper corner balance. Will post the embarrassing numbers when I pick the car up tomorrow.

The guys as TruLine are great to deal with. I couldn't believe the difference in handling when I had my old 911SC track car properly done. We have a couple of Spokane DE's on the calendar for August and September, you should make a trip out of it!

Our little club isn't using motorsportreg. There is a web entry form at

http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50914295323959

Info on the DE's at http://inwr.pca.org/

Parade is coming to Spokane in 2017 and the club officers are working pretty hard to improve the professionalism of our DE program.

Little bit more. As an example, a standard alignment from your basic tech at Firestone is around $200. These guys are quite a bit more experienced, familiar with the cars and hourly labor prices are high. Corner balancing takes a lot more work. They spent 6 hours on the car to give you an idea.

I'll have to try and add this to my schedule. Sounds like a lot of fun!
