blown engine

Just warm up the engine thoroughly then take it to different revs but kept it below 6k (for the first few hundred miles). Lots of WOT acceleration and off gas low gear engine braking.
Btw, I've put 7k miles on it so far and it runs like a champ. Smooth and strong. The 3.8 sounds great as it has deeper exhaust noise than the stock 3.6.

Great question. I'm tempted but do not want to file down the engine tdc boss...prefer the ability to keep using the tdc lock tool in the future. Also, my car is a DD so it will see traffic. I want to keep the stock coolant flow rate and alternator charging rate.

I don't want to sell my '03 either because I got it when it was practically new (@2,500 miles) and I can't see myself ever spend that much buying a brand new 911 anytime soon
...or ever.

Thanks Dave. I have good news and bad news.
Good news: I've put ~10k miles on the engine. It's been running strong and it's very smooth.
Bad news: I dropped the oil pan the other day and found one of the c-clips of the master-linked timing chain in the oil pick up tube metal mesh. I plan to drop the engine to address that soon.
