Car looks great. Would love to hear more of your setup- including suspension, exhaust, weight loss items done to the car, are you on the stock 3.4 block or have you did some internal upgrades?

As the car runs in PCA Class H It is running the stock 3.4 with Upgraded LN cylinders and Carello rods. Otherwise stock Intake, headers and fuel management. Class weight is 3060 pounds with driver so the car weighs 2870 with 75 pounds of ballast. Ac Heat, sunroof and interior are deleted. Shocks are JRZ RS Pro

Thank you for sharing! Best of luck this season- excellent internal upgrades, as well as some of the major weight loss items. Amazing what a great starting point we have from a weight perspective in the 996.1 cars and how much further you can go.

The 996 is a great platform to race and in a relative term fairly cheap I was able to replace the whole left side of the car for less than 3000.00 because used parts are so easy to get.
The engine has 90 hours since the rebuild and has not been any trouble. Only weak spot has been the 1-2 shift fork, I have broken 2, but California Motorsports has a Billet replacement and that has fixed that problem.

Getting the final bits painted. Regular front 996.1 bumper with GT3Tek front lip so I didn't have to buy ANOTHER bumper. Mk 2 rear wing.

That's awesome. Seems like 996s are the 911 to use as a track car. Since everything else is so wildly expensive and relatively slow, 996s have taken over. Used to be you would see a bunch of g body track rats but not anymore.

Pics aren't great, but my contribution. Suspension = Bilstein B8s w/ H&R Sport springs, and ECS 15mm spacers all around.

My CCW C10 forged monoblocks are finally installed.
Specs (was told) 18x9 et50 245/40/18 needed 15mm spacer to not sit on coilovers, might try 245/35 bc sidewall is very tall.
18x12 et63 315/30/10 fits great
dropped on h&r coilovers
new brake rotors and larger calipers are nexts!

Default Not an XAA, a 2001…
