Default 18" wheels - Victor Innsbruck

Found a nice set of 18" wheels - Victor Innsbruck
18x8 +45
18x10 +50

Tires are a bit smallish - 225 and 265, but eventually could upgrade to 235 and 285's on these wheels which is what the GT3 cars ran.

But what about the offset - does it work well for a '99 Carerra 2?

That's what I have. Not recommended for track duty.

The wheels themselves. There are reports of them cracking under the stress and the warranty being voided via track use. I didn't have any issues, but of course in a spot like that they work fine until they don't.

There are a few threads in the racing & driver's education forum about it.

I think they look pretty good but had I known about the track issue I probably would have stayed away.

good info - thanks. While not intending to do many track events, I may do some with this car.
Seems risky to me. I found another thread with one person using them on track without issue, but of course that doesn't mean too much! I guess I will pass on these.

I have these wheels on my 1999 carerra 2 and running 295 30 18 and 225 40 18 PS2 Michelins, my car is lowered with rolled rear fenders.

Wow. I was looking at options for downsizing back to stock sizes on my 02 both for the street and occasional track day. The Innsbruck was on my list of potential wheels. But I guess I'll have to clean up my original Sport Technos instead.

Thanks for the info!
