I feel bad for the OP. The previous owner ran the guts out of that engine.

But, I don't understand the logic. You buy a 997 "S" roller knowing that you cannot afford or find a replacement engine in a worst-case situation, then you settle for the regular engine...I wouldn't have done it. In hind-sight the OP wouldn't have done it either, I think.

I don't see it that way. As long as you gets an engine in there, it's worth it. The worst case would be that he can't affor any engine and then has to sell the roller at a huge loss.

Hell, thats normal around here. Wanna see carnage? Go to the Facebook albums on our page www.facebook.com/fixabrokensix and look for "Kathleen's Kataclysmic Katastrophe"

That was a female in her 50s that was on cruise control on I 75 at 80 MPH when it came apart... It makes this one look like a virgin.

We just finished her car this week after a reconstruction. It goes on the truck back home on Monday as a Raby 3.8

Did she knew she has to use the pedal on the left to switch gears?

Yep, the last over rev was 1200 hours before the failure. That was a different engine entirely.

It just came apart.
