Default @#!!*# Rear window cleaning

Got the '04's detachable hardtop out of storage today. Same-same hardtop used from '99 to present, I'm told, but for a change in plug fasteners. In spite of my best efforts, a couple sweat bees died inside the back window and some trash found its way there, too...all crammed in that tight acute angle betwixt glass and mat.
Just spent the better part of an hour with a hummingbird feeder cleaning brush and a Windex soaked rag taped to a flat paint stirrer trying to winkle all that crap out. Semi successful. No vacuum nozzle known to this man comes close to fitting.
There must be better ways. What are they?

Can you use a few straws and tape them together and attach them to your shop vac?

I removed the rear shelf to clean the window. The hardtop needs to be off the car, but it's not too hard to do.
