Fair deal on this low mileage aero package car (not sure if factory), 21k miles, guards red, and it has the 4 spoke steering wheel everyone seems to like around here

Fair deal? Is there a kilo of coke in the frunk or something? That is no $26k car. It has almost no options on it (I see wheels, Aerokit, leather seats, and the CD player).
The lower bolsters on both seats show more wear than I would expect for 21k miles. Transmission tunnel trim is also more scratched up than I would expect too.
Also the 4 spoke wheel is generally disliked. There are only a few of us that prefer them.
Good luck to them. I hope it does sell for that price, but I think they are at least 6k high and possibly as much as 10k.

The high end for a MkI C2 seems to be about 20 right now and that is typically for a more compelling car. Average seems to be in 17k range. Prices will start bumping now that spring is on the way, but it's still not remotely a 26k car.
Other than the miles and the AK there is nothing overly compelling about the car as far as options go.

Well, really they are asking $27,000 ($26,981). I would peg the value on that one at around $21,000. Remember spring fever is about to hit. They might get $23k or $24k - there are some people who value low mileage cars that much. Also, the wear on the bolsters I think is exacerbated by the tan color. Those same seats with that wear in black would look like they are new.

Agree that low 20's is more realistic than high teens (or high 20's). Options are great but it's first and foremost a great sports car. In all seriousness, what options from 1999 are still desirable in 2016? Not the Nav or the sound system right? Any thoughts on that?

I tend to agree, but there are some options that I think add more than just fluff to a MkI: Full leather interior, sport seats, LSD, aluminum gauges, 3-spoke wheel, aluminum shifter & e-brake...to name a few.

Not a bad price for the mileage as long as it doesn't have any accidents. Not sure if I love or hate the orange.

When I picked up my car, I had to drive from Queens, across Manhattan and then through the Jersey suburbs at 8:30 am on a weekday. I can see how someone in a big city might not want a 6 speed.

As for the value of this car, I think it's a low $20k example. It is quite fresh in appearance except for the bolster and a bit of scruff on the center. I also don't see many valuable options except some radio junk and a leather wrapped wheel. I think it'll be there a while, unless some rube walks in and points to it - 'look maw! it's a shiny new one of them-thar porch-ahs! Lets git us one a them! woooohweeeee, yeahah! (queue Deliverance theme)

Guys back there have stealing the wheels while you're still slowly rolling down to a fine art.
