Just looking at the comments, it looks like he disclosed a non-trivial issue near the end of the bidding time that wasn't in the description. I agree with the comment suggesting that "remembering" something like that signals the possibility of other issues that weren't disclosed.

I read through the auction (and there was a redacted comment -no clue what that may have said), the thing he "forgot" was rear spoiler operation, that it did not come up at speed on it's consistently, however it did operate properly with the switch. Though any omission isn't great, that didn't seem like a major one to me.
I suspect there is more to the situation but hard to say.

Super Low Miles Cab in my area. If my hardtop doesn't work out this could be an option. Any thoughts?

The Porsche market never ceases to amaze me as to which models/years command what prices. The 996 is a tremendous value. Fun and spirited to drive, reliable (once you take care of the IMS bearing), and extremely low cost for what you get. This car looks very nice (of course you need to do your due diligence/PPI). I had a 996.1 C4 Cab previously, and now have a 2004 C4S Cab. I have really enjoyed the flexibility of top down driving.

I've had it 1 1/2 weeks and I have received over a half dozen compliments. One lady even stopped to take a picture. That was pretty cool.
I'll let you know about the reliability thing (sigh). I've got a few gremlins running around my car right now.

Looks like a good specimen. Not my color, but seems to be well done. The wheels might give some heartburn but they don't bother me. It's optioned well for comfort.

Not that bad of a price if you really want an Aerokit.
I was lucky and able to add an Aerokit to mine for around $3000.
Mine already had a factory Aerokit front bumper, and I found a great deal on a used Taco, and factory sideskirts were on sale at Sunset Porsche for Black Friday last November.
Normally it would cost over $7K to add an aerokit.
That includes painting.
But my next 996 probably won't be an Aerokit.
My second 996 will have the classic look.
