If this were a manual I'd be all over it. Would be great for a swap.

I wonder why it's being parted out and how much he wants for it as is?

My guess is a blown engine.

I tried to do some reading up on tranny swaps in a 996, and it looks like it wouldn't be that bad, but I don't want to do deal with a tranny swap AND an engine swap.

I don't know, it IS a rare Cabriolet with a Tiptronic.

It really is a clean example.
I like the aerokit and 2-piece BBS wheels.
Miles are really low, which is a really good and REALLY bad thing.

Recent price drop on this. Nice options. Low miles. Both tops. My stable is full or I would jump on it.

Only part I disagree with is his statement, "You will not find another one". Other than that, it appears to be a very nice optioned 996 cabriolet.

Folks!! Here's the one! If the ad is correct, it's up the road from me. One owner.
I hate to post it because I'd love to buy it for myself..lol (pipe dreams)

Are low mileage 996 turbos really commanding that price?

I spoke to the step son who is selling for the owner. He said there's only a couple of blemishes and they look like they'd buff out.

I may go look at the car in the next day or two, just so I can advise others and take more pics.

I'd Love to buy and flip it, if it could be bought right. But I'd have to get with my rich friend to secure a loan to do it..lol

Not Craigslist, hope that is okay.. Could be a great deal if it is real. $15k for an 03 Targa with 142K miles. Not a lot of info which is always a red flag for me.
