glad to help spread the madness as these cars are worth it. Hit me up if you’d like me to go take a peek or even if you have plans to come up and want a second opinion, lol. And happy hunting, it’s half the fun.

Interior needs a little love, but I bet replacement seats and door panels could be sourced on the cheap. Looks like a great deal with the work that's been done to it.

dark teal metallic C4S, replacement engine with a claimed 15K Miles on it, lots of maintenance. $30,000. What a great color!
New engine is great IMO. My 996 had a crate engine with about 25k miles (plus clutch/RMS @ same time) on it when I bought it. Great way to get the analogue 996 with almost new mechanicals, but not at ultra-low mileage Porsche prices!

Beautifully modified Gen1 up in Raleigh caught my eye - "originally purchased by GM as a test mule in fall of 1997 to test / inspect compared to their C5 Corvette"

With a branded title you better love if forever cause you'll never get your money back out of it! Very interesting back story though...

Interesting, but I doubt it is one or the 14, or so, 1997 builds, based on the VIN. On top of that, GM would have had to buy it in Europe and ship it over. They did not go on sale in the US until April 1998. It's got a mix of parts, some early and some late. It looks cool, but that's a lot for a salvage car.

Beats me, but if I could get it for $8500 and drive it for 20,000 more miles without it blowing up, why not? Could still sell it as a roller for 6k.

I mean Apollo 911 had 248,000 on it before he blew it up on the track.

$8500 for only 20k miles wouldn't be a good value for me. I would have to drive it for at least 75k miles to make it worth it.

A premium price for a car that has a salvage title. History will be tough to prove so they buyer better be well aware of what they are getting into. I'd want mega documentation on the "test mule" history on this car before considering

Are you familiar with this vehicle? AutoCheck shows 98,814 miles reported on 12/17/16 while the ad says 92,512? Also an accident in TX on 10/14/16
