Spoke to the owner, he was super vague on the phone. Asked him any mechanical issues and he said check engine lights comes on and it's something about a solenoid from the vario cam? He said car was in an accident front bumper was replaced and resprayed, Also partial front was resprayed but has clean title. I was going to take a look at it today but the check engine solenoid thing made me nervous so I decided not to go. The dude just didn't seem enthusiast about his car, gave me a feeling something is wrong with the car and wants to get rid of it for cheap.

Thanks for sharing, all good info. The cam pos sensor, and cam adjustment can set the check engine light. Fairly common. Fixes include checking the sensor, and the solenoid as well as check the guides which wear. Woudln't really stop me if it was the model, and options I wanted at that price.

That what a good PPI is for, negotiate any issues discovered to your advantage.

If I understand correctly, to change the solenoid or the chain guides you would have to disassemble the top half of the engine..? I think there was some major issues that needed to be address was why the owner offered the low price. Owner texted me back and said the car is sold. Good luck to the new owner and hopefully all issues can easily be fixed.
