Maybe spent 6 months out of 42 years there though...
LOL... I spent two years in Hinesville, GA in the 80's when my dad was stationed at Ft. Stewart. Also lived in Hot-lanta during the '96 games. Metro Atlanta is a huge melting pot.
Interesting car for auction there.
It's got a 7 year old, approx 50K mile Flat-6 Innovation engine, 3.8L conversion. According to the seller it has just recently begun using oil and is missing on a cylinder or two.
And it's a Millennium Edition.
Anybody have any guesses about what the engine problem is?

Also curious. I'm guessing Jake has received a phone call about this car. 3.8L x51 is tempting!
Sad when a seller is NOT even motivated enough to clean the car before putting it up for sale on BAT. That speaks loudly on the overall care the current owner has given this car!

Idk, spending 25k on a raby rebuild speaks louder. Although it may not be the current owner that had the rebuild done. I didn't see any mention of miles since rebuild. Maybe didn't wash out of pure disappointment and disgust.

Concur. I went a few hundred miles to buy a road grader in Dec, and when I got there the cab was still filled with trash on the floor, and he hadn't even took a hose to it. The seller pointed to it in the field, and went back to fiddling with his 'race' car. So, I went out there, turned on the fuel, started the engine, and got in my truck and left. I hate a$$hats.
As for the engine, there's plenty to speculate on, but with the bigger jugs, I would be shading toward a cracked cyl or ring damage causing the misfire and oil use. A borescope would likely tell a lot, and a leakdown test.

You make a good point; however, what speaks even louder is the claim that it was "rebuilt by Flat 6 and Raby" and now the engine is having serious problems, yet no documentation has been provided by the seller on BAT and until Jake Raby chimes in on this matter and confirms, bidders must assumed otherwise.

Based on the claim that the "Flat 6 3.8 rebuild" was conducted in 2010, that would mean the last two owners put roughly 50,000 miles on it since Jake Raby's team touched this car.
