I'm not sure what you mean by "exhaust diffuser". Are you referring to the winglets on the rear bumper?
that's what I was thinking does not look stock. But someone else can chime in. My OEM aero kit car does not have those winglets.
As for the clear bra...whoever said they hate them clearly has not seen a good quality clear bra installed. They are nearly impossible to see more than 24" away, and do a great job of keeping the rocks from damaging the front of the car; PLUS they can be removed and reinstalled much cheaper than sanding/painting the front end again.

That is an OEM bumper and the winglets/spats are OEM as well. Near as I can tell there is no rhyme or reason as to why some cars have them and others don't. Our 01 came with them, but I know other 01s that didn't. I also know of 99s and 00s that did and others that didn't. All had the same code for the Aerokit too.
I see that all the time, and I don't get it. You're talking about $20k + for a car, what's another $1.5k for shipping if it's "the one?" Or better yet, fly out and drive it back yourself.
I wouldn't want to buy a car sight unseen even if the pics look great. The shipping cost is not an issue. Time off is though. Not possible right now to take a few days off to fly to NC and drive back to CA.

Take a weekend and have a PPI done, drive it back half way if it's a keeper. Then have it shipped to it's final destination from where ever you decide to.

Yeah. That would take some coordination but I'm not 100% opposed to the idea.
No better way to get to know your new car than to drive it home. I just drove mine from Houston to Atlanta last week.
PPI and drive it!
Funny you say as I was just looking at mapquest. 2487 miles. Only worry is with a new unknown car, there's always the chance it leaves me stranded. Would be a cool road trip tho!
