Question Cab Questiion

My 2002 911C4 convertible top will not raise to recover the car? When depressing the button to raise the top the indicator light in the car flashes but nothing happens. Any insight into a fix is greatly appreciated.

Could be a number of things. Are you hearing anything from the cab motor? If not, then it could be your eBrake sensor. The eBrake is engaged, but your car thinks its not. Happened to me...

Put your key in the drivers side door lock and turn it to the right (or left I can't remember) and hold it there and it should raise the top and windows. If your top operates then your ebrake switch is probably bad. Also check to see if both deck lids are closed. My rear deck was not latched and the top would not come up.

Glad that worked and for anyone else make sure the trunk is completely closed. That will also prevent it from engaging.

2002 can raise the top at speeds up to 30mph.

nope... not without adding an aftermarket work around.. or clicking the e-brake up just enough to engage the switch while driving slowly!

I snipped the "pink wire" speed sensor to the cab top module. Now, I can click the e-brake up one click, and raise or lower the top while moving. I only use it in parking lots or driveways, while moving under 20 mph.

Here's the DIY
