Default Newbie but not...

Hi all. Just negotiated on an 04 996 cab with 21,000 miles. First up is IMS. Car went through PPI and filter was perfect but I have owned two 986 and had IMS done on those so will get it done. Other than that gonna drive the pee out of it.

Have a 944 turbo -89 with S upgrades in the garage. That's my toy! 996 will become daily driver. I live in jacksonville and its dummy here all the time!

Congrats.

Low mileage is nice, but that also means it sat and the seals may be weak. Make sure they do a thorough check during the IMS install. I bought a garage queen as well.

I know all too well the low mile thing. My last 986 that I sold in Feb had 19,000 miles. It was an 03! We watched for issues constantly and each time we did service we replaced easyo get to parts that the shelf life was coming up on...

Oh and thanks Detroit11!

Took delivery today. Wow is the car beautiful! IMS pro bearing already installed a week ago and tax, title and plate are done. filled her up and took a quick drive. The lower is always there and really sounds great. Looking forward to digging in and cleaning my way! Shame it's now my DD...lol.
