Default 2003 C4S For Sale!

With mixed feelings I have put my C4S up for sale. I hate to see it go but I can not afford 2 Porsche's. Put it on Autotrader Monday and looks like another member will be buying it (fingers crossed). But in no hurry.

Im looking for 997 TT but it will require me selling more than one extra vehicle we have. Insurance is getting too high for us to have vehicles that we arent using.

You should sell it no problem at that price, even though you've been bashing the crap out of 996's forever and complaining about how they are bringing nothing on resale...

How many miles did you end up putting on the car since you bought it?

Well KK, you most likely have one of the MPR(most parts replaced) 996s on the planet so the buyer should have a Porsche that requires little or no work at least for awhile. I was curious as well, how many miles were on the car when you bought it? Hope you find your bulletproof TT in the meantime.

Just pull the the carfax for the real truth on mileage.

It's about time you listened to me so someone else can finally start enjoying it.

Let us now rejoice once KK moves on as it will drive back up our values by at least 10%.

997tt owners, watch out for a slight down tick in yours.

Congrats either way KK. The 997tt is a big jump and certainly something I can only wish for in my current state.

So roughly 15k miles in a little over 4 years? Regardless, this is probably one of the best C4S models to get out there right now since KK has been saving it for the next owner.

Well it's 10k miles in exactly 1 year (11-12).

Then someone must have forgotten they had a Porsche in their garage because only 2k per year since.

I think the 2k per year was after he found out about the IMS and started seeing all those fear pics online.

I have put about 4000 miles on the car in about two years. Done a large amount of PM and replaced a lot of parts. Great learning experience and really hate to sell it but no way to justify two of them.

Looks like you finally got through to yourself, KK ... 996's suck, right? :-)

I dont think they suck, I just think that you should know a lot about them before you purchase and prepare accordingly. I feel confident I can rebuild mine from front to back if needed but I also know the reality that it will never be a 996TT much less, a 997TT. I even considered keeping it and continuing the restore/replace evrything approach but as many have said, its doubtful the C4S will be much of a collector car.

The 997's are finally dipping into the affordable range and offer some substantial improvements in technology. My 996 still uses CD's (the horror). I think my wife could comfortably drive a 997TT with auto worry free and it would still have the "peformance feel" when I want to drive it.
