I started looking but mines not gone yet. Waiting for it to be picked up before I can cancel insurance, etc.

Krazy, I don't know if this is true in Texas, but in CA you can go online and file the Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability. I do this as part of the transaction, so when the buyer leaves, the state has already been notified of the change in liability. I never want to be in a position where the new owner wrecks the car on the way home without being able to prove that the car was no longer my responsibility...

Tx has the same. What I meant was, the truck carrier has not picked it up so I have not cancelled insurance, etc. If I did, I'm sure a tree would fall on it, hurricane, etc. would destroy the car before its loaded and in route.

Yes but not for me to say who. I hope he remains active and I would be happy to help him if possible with any questions about the car. I have grown to know it quite well over the last 2 years and 4000 miles.

Quite possibly the most dramatic understatement ever posted on RL.

I am the lucky one who got the car. Had been looking for a few months, just missed getting a couple of others before being in the right place at the right time and grabbing this great C4S. Did not make a trip to Tx to see and drive but felt very confident in purchase anyway-especially after talking to Keith. Counting the days until it's delivered. My C4 has been on Autotrader(and cars.com and cargurus.com)for about a month with very few qualified responses fwiw....

IMHO, He convinced himself 996's had terrible market value and then underpriced it by
$2K-$4K...

**And Alpy this is really gonna upset you but I just wasted 10+ quarts of JG DT40 in your honor. Last oil change was December and @1100 miles ago. I just performed an oil/filter change today (because of time of course) and tearfully watched that clean JG flow into the drain pan. The oil looked great of course but it was 7 months old and had to go. I know you think its crazy to follow Jakes oil change interval but I really think it helps keep the M96 smooth and quite. Never any VT noise on cold start unless the engine sits for several weeks. It was truly a sad experience knowing I just did my last oil change on that C4S. Maybe the new owner would allow me to fly up for maintenance? Man Im gonna miss this forum if you guys run me off. No offense to the 997 guys but I dont think they have the same sense of humor there about their cars.

First day ad came out. Crappy pictures but good details. Incredible response on Auto trader, even a few from forum post.

Thanks for the kind words. I think your getting a very mechanically sound car.

Prices all over the place for the C4S. I was surprised how they seemed much higher than a C2?

Those 997 guys are gonna loooooove you! I still blame you for my 996 being worth about $7,300.

LOL, I got tarred and feathered in the 944 forum but thats another story. I better be a little more cautious in the 997 forum. Glad your there first testing the waters. I get the impression in other forums that we 996 owners are so misguided.
