Default Introduction

Hi all: I just wanted to take a moment to say Hi. I recently picked up a 2002 Cab with 45k miles. I got rid of my E-Class and this is my new daily driver. I have say, i'm loving it. I had a boxster, Range Rovers, Mercedes, but nothing brings a smile to my face like the 996.

I had a PPI, but after driving it a few weeks, I'm noticing a few items that need attention.

1. The paint around the upper center console need to be touched up. Not sure what to use to touch it up.

2. The passenger side seat clicks when it moves forward (like a gear is skipping)

Other than that, it's pretty clean. Pics are attached. When I picked it up, a nice 348 parked next to me.

And btw, my 8 year old LOVES it!!

An easy fix. Take the ash tray in to your nearby Home Depot. The paint department will use it to mix you up a small container of matching paint. I did this for my car (as have many others here). The color match was perfect!

Note that at least one member will advise you NOT to change out the orange side markers *cough* Hurdi *cough*.

Ignore this advice.

Thanks. Just as an aside, tonight I picked up a hardtop and stand for $300. The blue is off a shade or two, so I will have to get it resprayed. But for $300, I just couldn't pass it up.
