Default Painted Bumperettes today

The match almost perfectly. It is a little hard to tell in the picture as the car is dirty and the parts are clean.

Love the look

Nice job. I've been considering the same thing.

Yup. Midnight Blue.

You bring the paint, I'll bring the beer!

You did it yourself? Where did you get the paint? I wonder if it will hold up like bumperplugs?

Very nice. That's on my to-do list, but is less of an issue as I have a metallic black car.

Got my paint form http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

This is the 4th set I have done and they have held up well (not to to take anything away from BP). Cleaned them scuffed them, used a filler primer, several coats of paint and cleat and there ya go.

If you guys are gonna DIY from aerosol, at least use 2 stage products where you can. Most important is the clear, as single-stage never really dries and can get gummy if wiped with certain products. Something like this is perfect.

http://www.eastwood.com/spray-max-2k...t-aerosol.html

You just smack the button on the bottom and you have 24-48 hours to spray until the can is no good.

Looking good. I don't mind the black bumperettes but when you see them color-matched they look so much better. Especially in that nice Forest Green!

They get so gray and dull. I will be painting my lower rockers as well.

That's the worst part, they turn into a baked gray. Same thing with the cowl trim and the black plastic air diverters by the radiators. I've painted the cowl trim and wiper arms on every 996 I've owned, big difference from something so little.
