Default 996 Targa Roof Rack/Transportation System

I've been looking around for any information about the Targa roof rack/transportation system. All I've been able to find so far is the part number, 996 801 065 00.

Does anybody have any pictures of what this system looks like or have any experience using it? The main reason I ask is that if it is similar to the cross bars for the coupe I'm interested in it but if it looks like the roof transportation system for the cab I do not want it.

Thanks!

Also interested in this if you find anything out, I don't see any mount points on my Targa so I figured we couldn't use a roof rack.

I don't think anything exists. I bought a "Seasucker Rack" for mine to transport bikes. Works well. Goes on in 3 minutes comes off in 30 seconds.

I've seen the Seasucker before. I was a bit concerned with the load that might be put on the glass when traveling at freeway speeds. Have you had any issues with yours? Do you happen to have any pictures of it installed?

Thanks!

I have pics but can't seem to upload. Can send them to your e-mail address if you want. No issues with mine. Just was kind of leery at first. Holds bike down solid. They recommend not exceeding 85mph.

Below 85 mph seems reasonable with bikes on the car .

PMed with my email.

No complaints. I have a BMW 328xiT with a Thule rack also but there are times when I just feel like driving the 911 to group bike ride. I'll admit it takes some getting use to confidence wise. But if you visit "Seasuckers" webpage and check out some of their videos of it in action you'll realize the rack and bike are very secure. Plus with a glass Targa roof in my case my options are limited to I believe just the Seasucker.
