Does your wife make you change clothes and take a shower whenever you ride in that thing? Mine does whenever I ride in my 2002tii.

Next up is double din radio install then I may consider lowering it at some point.

As far as budget, what the hell is that??? LMAO.
Ha, Ive learned there is no budget with my car. Thankfully my wife comes from a family who loves anything with a motor. She can ride a motorcycle, shift a manual and sometime out drink me! Seriously, the high flow cats are a nice upgrade once yours begin to fail. I wouldn't change them for the hell of it though. The car wont sound much louder until you get to 4000-7000 rpm range. very docile while street driving. Good luck with your project.

Mark

Enjoy reading about the mod evolution on your car. I purchased an '04 C2 Cab a year ago w/ 64k miles, one owner, maintained at dealership on schedule. Had local Indy replace IMS, some small metallic pieces found during oil change, replaced clutch while doing IMS as it was at 25%, and water pump, play in shaft, RMS, replaced brake fluid, and serviced transmission. A few months ago noted a coolant leak - replaced coolant tank. Oh, one of the first mods was the Fister D mufflers. His shop is a 1 1/2 hour driver from here so I went there for the install. Researched putting a lip on, but driveway scrapes stock front bumper so the lip would have scraped off in a week probably. Installed Row M030 suspension, one of the best mods for me, Lowered the car a little ( 1" front, .5" rear ). Totally changed handling characteristics - no more front float - car more planted plus looks better with the front lower than rear. and 100 pounds lighter than stock. Last week swapped out comfort seats for sport seats which are much better for me @6'2". Seating position better with better back, shoulder support, plus they really look good. Did the Gt3 console delete which gives me more leg room. Lastly, added a 997 shifter, which was another improvement. Shorter shift and much more precise over the 996. So, my mods are more for handling and function - lost about 150 pounds with these mods. Love this car. Btw if name looks familiar, I purchased the rear wheel bumper things from you. Thanks for that.

Heh...no. In fact, Mrs. Schnell's interest gets piqued when she walks into the garage to find me under one of the cars in my Pelican Parts coveralls.

I complained about having to reinstall the cats, but to be honest, the long-tube headers running under the fiberglas tub made the car unbearably hot anyway.

Sonoma, Sounds like you have done a lot of good stuff to your car. Glad those quarter protectors worked out for you. I am liking what you are saying about the suspension upgrade as it may be in my cars future.

Just finished a brake fluid flush including the clutch slave. All good, brake pedal feels great and clutch engagement feels better. I think I am ready for spring & summer.

Awesome! Like the mods. I recently moved off LI to Rockland, but still visit enough. I like the idea of the exhaust mod. Exhausts are so damn expensive for these cars!
