[QUOTE=Mark Wagner;11190955]Next up some MKII side skirts. Purchased them from a local dealer and had a friend spray them and I installed them, total time for the install was about two hours.

How much did the dealer wack you for the side skirts?

Looks good. You may want to finish off the look with Stealth Bulbs.

Great work Mark! You're talented!

I want to put exhaust and the double din in mine but I always seem to run short of courage and money.....

Sorry for any confusion.... the above pix are of my car... Mark wanted some pix to see what the install looks like. But, we can congratulate Mark anyway... he's doing a great job with his car!

Mufflers are out, pretty straight forward job. Now to find someone that can do the modification locally.

I just took mine to a muffler shop with a picture of what I wanted done. I had them open up the PSE port and connect a pipe (gundo hack), nice sound at WOT but sometimes I wish it was a bit louder. The fister D mod puts a small pipe in between the two existing pipes, I believe that's supposed to be a bit louder and some people prefer that.

I also bypassed the helmholtz resonator with a silicone straight intake pipe off eBay for $20, made a significant difference and now sounds great. Covered the resonator with a rubber pipe fitting from Home Depot.

Just got the mufflers back. Very pleased with the job, he used stainless 1 3/4 pipe. The sound is absolutely amazing, this has to be the absolute best mod anyone could do. Many say it does not add horsepower, not sure if that is true or not. Clearly the exhaust would be more free flowing now so I would think it might add a little but not enough to tell in the seat of your pants.

One more thing, I will say Youtube videos do not do the sound of this mod justice.

Warm enough here on Long Island to give it an old fashioned bath. Nice & clean. Plus a picture with the pumpkins gone.

Thank you. Like every other hobby car I have owned when ever I say I am done, I'm not. The Fister D mod was great for me, I want to keep the exhaust note within reason so the Wife will get in the car. My last car (1969 Camaro) was loud and the wife hated being in it. Next up is double din radio install then I may consider lowering it at some point.

As far as budget, what the hell is that??? LMAO.

Nice work with the mufflers. I hear you re: the wife and exhaust sound. I loved having long-tube headers on my Corvette, but Mrs. Schnell couldn't STAND the combination of smelling uncooked hydrocarbons from running catless and the (awesome!) noise.
