Yep, tracked it and autocrossed it too. Certainly not a garage queen... I bought it to drive!

Great upgrades, very tasteful and done with style. I met Mark and saw his car in person. Car is minty mint clean and a great example of a well taken care of 996.
Nice car and a nice guy! Keep the upgrades coming and don't forget to update this thread so we can all enjoy the progress.
Heard the Fister D upgrade is worthwhile, music to the ears!

Thanks Craig, it was great talking with you and your AE is quite a piece, very nice and clean unmolested example. Any plans as far as mod's?

Part #996 505 986 91

Here is a link to it on FVD

Purchase the install kit also, it will be cheaper than sourcing the push rivets yourself. Live and learn.

As far as upgrades not much planned for now other than a Numeric shifter, which should arrive by the middle of next week.
I see you swapped out your orange markers, how did I know that was coming! Car looks great. Love those sport exhaust tips, may have to go that route down the road.

Nice stuff Mark! Our C2s are almost identical. I just picked up a silver 03 with 33k on it as well. Those skirts and sport exhaust tips really make a difference

Thanks. I picked them up from a local dealer at cost through a friends shop.
Your best place to get them is either Suncoast Porsche or ECS Tuning. If I remember correctly ECS was a little more expensive but shipping was much cheaper than Suncoast.

I am considering removing the Carrera from the engine lid and replacing it with the 911 emblem. Are there many haters of doing that out there? Personally I like the way it looks better and pays tribute to the heritage. I would most likely put the black 911 on. Thoughts?

Why not. So far everything you have done to your 911 has been done because you like it, and it really does look nice. You can always change it back if you change your mind later.
