Newbie with a 996 C2
Well - I have been sniffing all around this site ever since a purchased my 2000 C2 3 weeks ago. All the information has been great, thanks. I cannot stop thinking about driving my Porsche. I can't stop seeking pictures, videos and articles about 996's. I have read the Essentials book for 996 as well. I guess I caught the Porsche Passion Bug I was lucky to find this beauty from a Porsche dealer who took it in on trade. It was a 1 owner with 55,000 mi.

I was in your shoes few years back when I got my 1st Porsche too, then I immediately joined Rennlist so that I can learn more about these beautiful cars, since then I never looked back. Even today I still go the garage every night to check on my baby, enjoy your C2.
Cheers,

My 996 C2 has been very easy to drive on this very cold snowy day. Contrary to many on Renns I put Conti DWS 18" all/seasons on today and they seem to get through snow with zero issues. I am a rookie and have not had enough time with the vehicle to compare these with any other tires. I just know I needed the new summer PS2's off! Tirerack.com was out of 18" snow tires for the season. So unless I wanted to buy new 17" wheels I had to go with an all season alternative. When I buy winters I am OK with 17" just need to cool the pocket book off a bit for now. All I want to do is run gas through it come snow, rain or shine. "Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile"

Cheeky, As you can see by now your photos post very large. There is a way to reduce the size of the photos addressed in a thread in the Support/Help Forum titled "how do I upload a picture".

Congrats on the car and great to see that you have had it out in the elements.
I picked up my C4S in October and bought 18" rims with snows. The Pirelli's have proven to be quite good and it had been fun driving past front-drivers stuck on hills in the snow.
Car is quite disgusting right now with salt all over it. Gives me another opportunity to wash it when the weather clears.
