Default Porsche Snow Pics

After getting our first real snow storm in the NE, I decided to see just how much the C4S could get through.

Conclusion : Porsche makes great snowmobiles!
I was going through enough in some deeper patches with ease where it was coming over the hood and windshield. And with PSM off, I found the car very controlable in slides.

Only 2 small problems I encountered was I clogged an ABS sensor and got the "ABS/PSM Malfunction" which left me with no ABS or PSM for a bit. Drove around, restarted and errors were gone.

The other was its impossble to keep the front radiators from getting clogged with snow, which resulted in slightly higher water temps, but nothing extreme ( I tried the AC trick to get the front fans on, but they did not kick in. May have been clogged ??)

Best part is that since it was pure snow (no salt), everything underneath got a great cleaning. Well that, and all the crazy looks I was getting from plow trucks

If you got some recent snow pics, post them up

I'm in Florida, so I have no pics to post, but those are fantastic!!! Glad to see you are out using it, and not keeping it under a dust cover in the garage.

My C2 has been my daily driver for the past 4 years in suburban Chicago. The only issue was last year's blizzard that caught out everyone. Blizzaks go on in November and off in March (which I hope comes in January this year!).

Looking good!

No snow for me either. The only thing we have that's white is sand!

Just an update on the fans, I drove around a bit today and they worked with the AC on. So they must have been clogged with snow.

I think it would help next time to have these on prior to going through the deep stuff.

If anyone has done the "fan mod" for a 996.2 please post the details (all I can find are ones for 99-2001). TIA

These are previous winters... Even with all-wheel drive, you can get stuck if the snow's too deep!

Still waiting on our first snow here, but I've got the Vrdenstein Wintrac Extremes mounted. Freezing rain and sleet thus far have been an non-issue. Bring it on!
