Not an option I remember being in the book (otherwise we would have gotten it). Other than track days there are plenty of times through it's life where even a crappy cup holder would have been useful

While waiting on a build slot (C4s with the aerokit were apparently hard to get for our dealer) we looked at a used one that came into another dealer. While she was test driving it I looked up and saw coffee stains all over the roof liner (which was also when we realized there was no cup holder). When we got back I mentioned that to the dealer and I swear his response was "oh that's normal, don't worry about it"

Well you can always retrofit one if you have the space or even if you don't, there's a second option as well.

Yeah I know and I look into it every couple of years. We have the "entire herd of cattle" leather interior and the cost of the leather version has so far nixed it every time. Same with the pocket options to replace the (long since) useless tape tray.

That's a nifty option. We use the center console for stuff though. I'll drop them an email and see if it is a pop in/out thing. If so we can just leave it in one of the door pockets when it's not needed (most of the time). Thanks for the link.

While the MkII gained the glove box, didn't it lose the flip top door pockets? Those things have a ton more space than the glove box does.
No, MK2 didn't lose the door pockets. MK2 has TWO cup holders, glove box, and flip top door pockets on driver and passenger side.
