The toughest part is opening the headlight without destroying the outer lens, but the entire job is fairly involved. My first retrofit took almost a week, now they take me 10-12 hours (+24 hours sealant cure time).

That being said, it's not the most difficult thing to do, but I would not recommend this job for a newb.
They are many opportunities to destroy your lights during the job and you will if you're not careful.

Is this a mod that you would recommend for a newbie? I can get some help from a mechanic friend..

Also, how long does it take to mod the lights?

Hi guys,

You can order the projectors through myself or Fred. My email is charlestolles@gmail.com , or you can PM me.

The cost of the kit is $355. If you aren't comfortable doing the retrofit yourself, the cost for the complete package (projectors and retrofit) is $550 +return shipping (usually $30-50 via FedEx).

No. Stock, the inner plastic headlight shroud is clear. Some paint black, some leave stock and some choose to color match to the car.

The pictures below show my car with the inner shroud painted with some off the shelf gloss white, just to see how it would look

Nick! Just passing by to say hi brother. Also to tell you that someone recently borrowed your idea and went for the same champagne you custom made for yourself

Hope all is fine with you and both of your families there (i.e. your love ones and the Porsche carS!)

TC mate

I'd be interested to know what RL member "Alpine" has to say RE the following; wondering if he had time to install his new projectors in his (stunning) triple blk 996

Have a look at below. It is a visual of your headlight's circuit and a diagram of how the kit hooks up to it. If this all makes sense to you then you are good to go. High school 101 electronic really. The other bit required is to heat up your headlight into a oven for a 12-15min minutes @200 just so the manufacturer silicon soften a tad, pry with a flat tool, and pop you are done.

I've logged a few notes RE the installation. All written in Frenchglish sorry. If you have any question shoot me a PM or like Charles kindly offered, he can also do those for you in a flash

Fred, glad things are going well. With a newborn recently and 2 other toddlers, I'm hoping to go ape$hit on my car all at once sometime before the summer. But for sure I'll let you and RL know with an epic post that will include over a dozen mods at once. It's been far too long since my last mod.

Hope you'll post a pic or two of the car when done. Nick refuses to wash his for a quick picture. But its understandable... the guy has more Porsche cars than I could own (afford?) in 3 lifetime. He wash/details one every month.... you have to wait 4-5 months to see a new pic from Nick lol

Nice to know who deals with Charles, he doesn't tell me. He did however specified the "special care" request on your kit. You are in good hands mate

it workedddd!

David, good to hear from you. Haha all sounds exiting on your side.... car mods, the little new addition, so busy you can't even swap a light (lol) etc etc. Nice one mate. Here new GP season started hard, drafting proposals all day long, for people that normally don't like to read

Was just pulling your leg. No comment on the above blk "highend" GT front-end simply means you are jealous in my view. But hey man no worries, you can't be more than I am about this car believe me (he has a 3.4 in, sport coilovers, brace link rods this & that, in that car. argg)

Your car came to mind when I first saw this pic. I could already hear you giggling i.e when you'll see yours with a similar looking front-end

Looking forward man... family first!

Hey Fred. Sorry about the delay in posting a nice photo. I'll try to get one posted this weekend. Cars are still filthy.

Jamren, would you mind posting some more pics with your lights off? I think you left the inside stock and I would like a better looksy. Thanks!
