CGT Style Headlight Bi-Xenon Projectors - Retrofit kit for 996 & 986
#46
Yes, Charles in St-Joseph, MO, will be offering full retrofit services including warranty, spare parts and exchange schemes for the guys based in the USA and Canada. Charles also plans to have a few (NEW) Porsche headlight sets equipped with those high performance projectors and ready to ship. In case anyone fancy a brand NEW set of the best headlights around!
The whole idea is to offer the option to members to send their headlights by mail to St-Joseph to get them retrofitted professionally with a warranty.
Charles is known as member "particlewave" on 986forum.com
He can also be contacted via email at charlestolles [at] gmail

As Fred stated, I have been a member on that other 986 forum and a Boxster owner for about 2 1/2 years. Any retrofitting inquiries are welcome

Thanks Joseph!
Not too much action on the Boxster forum, so I may have to bug you 996 guys
I've got a few little mods up my sleeve to share with you all, like my DIY motion activated storage cubby lights (they turn on automatically when you reach your hand in). I got tired of fumbling around in there for my gum or ipod.
Or my under $10 leather interior, though this may be a bit flashy for you all.

I did retrofits on 2 sets of amber lights this week with the old Mk1 projectors. These projectors make even amber lights look amazing!

I just got my lights back yesterday. Here is a pic of my 996 with Fred's kit. It looks much better in person than in pictures I think. Charles (particlewave) did the retrofit for me. I didn't have time to do it myself and I am glad I didn't since he found a bunch of worn wires. He fixed everything for no extra money.

Thanks Ren! Glad to help out
These projectors look amazing on your 996!
For anyone interested, I'm offering a $50 price reduction on complete retrofit packages (total cost $550 + shipping).
See here for details.

Can someone solve the mystery of where do I buy these CGT light kits? I have a 2000 996 and looking to replace my halogen set. Love the look you all have posted but can't figure out where to buy them???

Hi - I'm completely not a DIY guy but I want to start learning.
Is this a mod that you would recommend for a newbie? I can get some help from a mechanic friend..
Also, how long does it take to mod the lights?
