You are splitting hairs. Both are lovely colors for a 911 Porsche. I have an Artic Silver but would have settled for either. I think the inside has a lot going for a 911. A full leather different color than black would have been my choice but I have what I have, a black interior.

Polar Silver... Has a bluish cast compared to Arctic. I prefer it, partially because it is much less common than Arctic.

I like both versions of silver. I really like GT Silver metallic also.
However, when I bought my 996 I specifically avoided cars that were silver, black or red. I wanted something that wasn't quite as common.

Seal Grey Metallic is my favorite Porsche color. My 996 is black, but I'd love it even more if it were seal grey. The lighter silvers are a little too common, and the louder colors (yellow) are a little too look-at-me for my tastes.
No dis on the silver cars... they're all good looking.
