Default Rotors

I need to replace my rear rotors (03 996 C2). Pelican has a few different brands but when I called to find out what was different about them the guy was clueless to give me an answer. They have Bolo which are very inexpensive compared to the others which are Zimmerman and Sebro. Does anyone have any experience with these and can shed light on them? I don't buy into that just because something is less expensive it means it is not a good product. I would like to find out why one brand is better than another. My car is a daily driver and sees the track a few days a year. Thanks.

I have been using Zimmerman rotors for the past 7 years or so, on two different Porsches. No problems, good price.

I have not used them on a proper track, but I did quite a bit of AX with my Boxster and got those rotors HOT. I did not experience the crack propagation from the drilled rotors that seem to plague many drilled rotors.

Last winter I did all 4 corners with Balo rotors and Akebono pads. No complaints so far. (all street, no track use) The pads make way less dust than OEM.

I purchased the textar pads and balo coated rotors (front and rear) about a year or so ago. After initial pad break in, the car stops on a dime and I have no noise issues. I do not track my car.

Anyone know the difference between the 3 different rotors they offer?

Not quite sure what you mean... there are three sub-models listed: regular C2 and C4; C4S and turbo; and GT2.

As for the brands, I don't know the answer. I've used Sebro and Zimmerman for many years on many cars and never had a problem.
