Brake Cooling

Brake Cooling
A few weeks ago there was a thread covering brake duct cooling kits but I can't find it. I'm in the process of adding a third radiator and an aero kit to the 996 I club race so it's a good time to look at brake cooling. Has anyone found a really good solution?
Thanks,
Jim

These easiest thing to do is cut a 3x10 rectangular hole in the inside of the front part of the front fender liner. This allows air from your aerokit front bumper to pour over the radiators and into the wheel wells to cool the rotors. Optionally, you can add the GT3 Cup plastic diverters that take the air coming out of the hole in the fender liner and channel it towards the rotor.
There are also kits sold by CarGraphic and others but the hole in the fender liner is what the racers all seem to use.

On the C4S, there are air outlets on the front wheel well liner behind the radiators. They are a series of vertical slits, look like gills. A C2 owner pointed this out to me at one of the DE's, and said that his MY '99 C2 did not have it. There is also a scoop like thing attached to the chassis just in front of the wheels to direct air to the rotors, but this seems to collect the air from under the car to the rotors, not air from those slits. I'd really like to see what those GT3 ducts look like.
