for the iphone crowd: I have a PLX devices wifi dongle and it works 90% of the time. I also have an ELM el-cheapo and after spending too much time trying to pair it, I gave up.

Mine says ELM 327 on it. They are all over ebay. I haven't had any problems pairing it up with a 5s but I have to manually pair it when I do use it. Not sure if it reads the VIN or not. Thanks for the PLX info though as these things are cheap enough that it's not worth fooling around with ones that aren't reliable. I'm fine with mine so far however, seems to work well with Harry's LT.
