I don't know. I have been looking for a number of months now for an 00-04 cab and have really found many (not all) dealers to be more reasonable than many private owners. I find many of the private Porsche owners to still be "in love" with the cars they are trying to sell. The one owners are the worst- I realize these cars carry a premium, but I think many of them simply cannot believe their $100k cars have depreciated that much.

The key is to ask if they are interested in selling the car or need to sell...this helps explain why the bid-ask spread is so wide, and such a wide variace for similar yr car.

Seeing higher prices here too and seemingly rising since last winter.... Mid 30's for a 02-04.

Sounds you guys are complaining ? We all love 996's , that's why we're here on this forum
I believe some of the lower prices we have experienced were due to a terrible economy .
Now there are many more porsche guys back in the game and the laws of supply
and demand are in effect.
This is good for all of us , right ?

I looked at a 2000 c2 cab at Dealer, Carter Honda, they were asking 25900.
First stop sign i could tell the clutch was done. I kept smelling it the rest of the test drive, 141,000 k 87,000 miles. think that turned me off dealers for good.
Sales man claimed to know nothing about it.

Theyve had that car for over a year. Theyve come down on it too...i think they were asking 32 ish last year and clauming it was the cleanest 911 in canada! lol.
But if its not sorted then no wonder its still there.
I emailed them last year and gave them **** for putting that huge Carter badge on the deck lid.

Check out this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/996-/...orcev4exp=true

$35,900 for a one-owner 2001 turbo with all maint. records, a few good mods, and 78K miles.

He's just up the road from here and I am SOOOOO tempted! If I had more room in the garage, I'd buy it in a flash.

i just checked the price of my millenium edition, and although it may be skewed because of the special edition. KBB says it is worth 38K with 35K miles on it.
WHAA?

that is a whole lotta car for that money. Hard to believe that it's well sorted and nothing wrong for that kind of money

The car's in Laguna Niguel, which is an extremely affluent community. I believe they have a weekly service, where dump trucks dump a big pile of cash in each resident's yard.

I wonder why the car's still listed? It was a 6-day listing. No takers??? Why??

An odo of 79K miles could explain its low valuation, but it is still a very attractive price compared to some of the estimates of previous posts. Worth a trade perhaps for some local in Ca.

I'm tempted to fly down this weekend and drive her back home to Norcal. If someone looks at this car, please report condition and findings.
