Default Aux input on CDR 220

I have installed an AUX cable to my C2 2002 but I am having trouble to make the final settings. I have navigation so I guess that means that I have a Becker CDR 220. I have read on several places that I am supposed to press the TP button for about 10 seconds to get access to a menu in the stereo and then enable the AUX input. The problem is that I cannot find any TP button on my stereo...

Anybody got a qlue?

First, try pushing the source select button a few times to be sure it's not already enabled. The menu should cycle between FM, CD, and Aux. As I recall source select is on the top right. If Aux is not displayed then hold the TP button until "BECKER1" is displayed. Rotate the right hand **** thru the various options until you get to "Aux Off". Now, this part I don't quite remember but it should be easy ... either push the **** or whichever station button on the bottom has arrows on it. This will toggle the display to "Aux On". By now you are probably comfortable with the menus. If not, just cycle the power (so you don't mess anything up on the way out.) Congratulations, your finished.

went here to find your answer:

PORSCHE NavTraffic Pro RADIOS
1. Press the "Radio" button to enter Radio mode.
2. Press the "Nav" and "F10" simultaneously
3. Press "Next" until the AUX input, Changer Res screen
4. Press AUX to enable/disable.

maybe that works?

Hrm, after reading your second post (which you posted while I was typing) ... you don't have a CDR-220 dude. You have a PSM1 system. My sympathies Just kidding. Your all set, just set source to "CD"

Thanks, but what button is the "Radio" Button and what button is F10? Maybe I don't have to press any radio button... it always start in "radio mode".

Maybe LV has the answer above. Did that work?

No, LV suggestion doesn't work either. When I press the CD button it says something like "no CD player".

Exactly what cable did you buy? A picture would be nice, and a pic of what you plugged it into.

Ok, I bought this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BECKER-VDO...item231ba3eef9

and I plugged it into the stereo by replacing the blue connector in the big connector consisting of a yellow, a green and a blue connector put together as one big connector. You can see the connector on the picture here: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/3.5-BKRCD.html

Any thoughts?

I just read the instructions here: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/pdf/ip-bkrcd.pdf

I didn't buy this specific kit, but at the bottom of the document it reads:

1. The iP-BKRCD is compatible with Porsche non-AUX MODE Radios (i.e.
CDR-210, CR-210, PCM1 etc.) with A WORKING CD CHANGER.
2. Requires a working CD Changer (i.e. CDC-3). The changer will no longer
play but must remain connected in order for the radio to enter “CD
CHANGER” Mode. At least one DISC must remain in Changer
Magazine and must be selected whenever iPod playback is
wanted.

They say that the CD changer MUST remain connected... I have removed mine since I am not using it anyway... Maybe that is the problem? But I have read that other people without CD changer have installed an aux cable.

You have to plug the CD changer back in. Oh, and leave a CD in the changer. Your Ipod will appear as that CD only with a bunch more tracks.
