I just got an 04 TT with a stock navi setup. when I select the cd changer I get the error message "no cd changer". I have inserted a couple cds, checked connections and still same message. The cd changer was dealer installed after initial delivery. Obviously the battery has been replaced a few times. Is there any trick to having the head unit link to the changer? I did something before on my old unit in my '02 when I set up the aux input. any ideas?
As long as i am at it, is there a plug to connect my iphone as an mp3 player?
I really do not want to upgrade anything, I just want what I have to work.
Photos are coming when i can figure out how to upload to rennlist from my ipad.
Just for the heck of it, disconnect all the connections at the cd changer, wait a minute or so and then reconnect. That has worked to "reset" mine in the past when I've had a similar issue.
I'll keep my eye out for you! I'm in Havertown all the time. As for the aux hookup, do a quick search here, I bought the cable from amazon for $15, took 2 minutes to install since I had the stereo removal tool. You do lose your cd changer capability however.
