Default Touching up Savannah Beige Rear Console

I read a few posts about taking the ashtray to Home Depot for color matching enamel.

I gave it a shot and while it's far from perfect, it looks much better than before.

I used a couple of foam brushes, finger rubbing and patience. I couldn't find any result pictures so I posted some before and afters:

Definitely improvement. Now it at least won't catch your eye every time.

LI911...looks really good. I have the same issues in many of the same places (also Savannah Beige). May I ask what color you used to match?

If you take the ashtray to home depot they will color match it using their machine. I asked them for enamel with primer and got a sample size jar. I can send you the formula they came up with but if you have the ashtray you might be better off just bringing it to them (my interior may be more or less faded then yours).

It actually came out really good, no one would notice that it was touched up unless I point it out to them.

I need to do that to mine. I have some of the same marks you do and it's really irritating when I stop to take a closer look at the damage.

Nice work. I had great results using an airbrush (harbor freight) and the magic mender color match.

When I brushed the product on, I found the repair was quite obvious. Highly recommend trying an airbrush.

Thanks, which one did you use from harbor freight (I see a few on their site)? I'd be concerned about overspray, etc..., how did you manage that?

I second the suggestion about buying matching dye from Magic Mender. I bought some to touch up scratches around the power seat button and the color match was perfect. I just used a bristle brush and it still came out very nicely.
