That thing is STUPID EXPENSIVE. Blown airbags, hard sheetmetal damage etc etc. You'll get like $8k out of it if you part it out.

Agree - its too much money. If a buyer had a rescue complex and lots of time on his/her hands, it would be a fun project, though.

Just think any shop charge at least $100 per hour for labor.

And you will understand why rebuilding it is not worth it.

The car is only worth it price dismantling it and selling the parts on ebay.
Leave this to professional dismantler and find yourself a car that runs.

Busted car in a region that just suffered 150k+ flood cars. Yeah, there is a good idea.

Run, don't walk.

He should post his "For-Sales" in the Atlanta area rather than local. I can't believe he'd wouldn't get takers in a much, much bigger city.

That rear quarter panel damage is $10k to do properly. Just the new sheet metal part is over $1.5k. To do properly requires a special spot welding tool...not for any shade tree diy-er. Of course one can pull it out and bondo over it.... But then it is not a proper repair and will show in 3-5yrs.

He does have it posted in the ATL area.. He finally had someone look at it yesterday after two weeks of being listed. Its super clean, solid carfax and etc. It really told me just how bad the market is on the 99s these days. Heck I prefer them!
