It's not about "breaking in" the motor. It's about getting the current residue oil out of the system, to minimize cross pollination, so the Driven can do it's job more efficiently and sooner.

I don't think any Joe Gibbs oils are Porsche approved for use in our engines. Porsche approval is shown by "A40" on the container. A40 is certain additives which as I understand includes no harm to catalytic converters.

A40 has a fair similarity to the GM Doxes rating.. Mostly to prevent foaming of the oil.
