Maybe the matte white wrap and have the wheels powder coated in matte black including the brushed aluminum lip.

White, your car looks great and it's obvious you keep it up. As Pete mentioned, I wasn't referring to you with my post. My suggestion is that you go with vinyl one way or the other. If you want to keep a shiny finish, then have the parts repainted and wrapped in clear. If you want to go matte, then go with a matte vinyl in white. The vinyl is infinitely more durable to small rocks, rubber, and road debris. It can still be damaged, but all of my damage is from abrasion (idiots parking with their bumper rubbing mine), not chips. What ever you do, just keep driving and enjoying the car. These are machines. Machines perform best when regularly operated and maintained.

A pic I found of a plasti dipped 996tt - easily 1/2 cost fo vinyl - probably not as BIG rock proof, but easily changed and repainted.

I hate to break it to you but these cars aren't going to be collectors items. They're great fun and should be enjoyed. Enjoying them requires regular upkeep and maintenance (which I know you love). You sound like a virgin avoiding sex so it will feel better when you do have. I promise, it's great every time...so do it as often as you can to maximize your enjoyment!

Ps-to answer the OP's question: I went with a clear wrap on my front bumper a few years ago. It holds up great against chips on the street and the track. It does require upkeep to stay looking its best, but less than a paint job. I don't have any experience with colored vinyl.

2 weeks wasn't enough....
