Since this has evolved into a wife discussion... my wife bought me my first Porsche (my seal-grey '03 Boxster) for my birthday 4 years ago, which is awesome. When I showed up about 2 months ago with my 996 instead of the Boxster - I traded it in without asking/telling her - she was only irritated for a couple of days.

When I was installing the long-tube headers on my Corvette, she volunteered to crawl under the car to start a couple of header bolts that I couldn't reach with my gorilla hands.

She might be the coolest wife ever.

Awesome wife you have! Mine is still a bit upset that I traded in my paid for Infiniti G35 for the 11 year old Porsche 996. Oh well....... Now it is nearly 13 years old and I am still loving it.

Back when I was in college, my wife(who was my girlfriend) drove my Bug-Eye sprite for the very first time. I evidently had too much to drink that evening. She seems to accept the fact that I'll always have something new coming home, whether it's a car, boat or dirt bike. Initially, it may be uncomfortable, but typically it's soon forgotten, and for that, I'm lucky.

10 years ago my wife once bought me driving gloves for our wedding anniversary.

Fireproof Simpsons :-) I still use them - tho their on their last laps I'm afraid.

Guess she started me down the slippery slope.....

She is also the one that was driving in Boxstoberfest a few years back the same weekend
I had a race. She was clocking 10Mph faster on public roads then I was on the track :-) or is that :-(
