Snapped a phone pic of my last 911 recently. Sold it in 98' after 4 years of ownership with only 38k miles at the time.

Last week Ed, bought it in 1994 with 21k miles on it. Owned it for 4 years, very reliable. Great Porsche, Borla exhaust, lowered to Euro specs, with stiffer suspension.

Very nice. Should have held on to it - they're going up in value and nice ones are getting harder to find.

Guy I sold it to recently sold it for $34k, guess it became an investment for my buyer who bought it from me for $18,250. I try to not regret selling stuff, but it was a very nice SC.

What color is that? Looks fantastic. I stopped at a neighbors house recently as there was an 81 parked in the drive. Someone was actually working on it, but not my neighbor. Says he comes when my neighbor isn't home and uses his tools. Anyway, great looking car.

Petrol blue was the color.

yes, early nice low mile cars are starting to gain ground on the market - prices are up

I sometime toy with the idea of selling but worry I would regret it - mine is a really well sorted high miler (near 200k) so not going up in value but surely easy to sell if I put it back to all stock - the interior in mine is minty (all removed so I can drive it)

the trouble is you most likely would not pay $30+ for it and it will keep going up and you would say,...dang, I could have bought that for $3XK only X years ago!!!

anyhow - hind sight

beautiful car

I can see why you miss it Steve. Really sharp SC in the Petrol blue. That must be a relatively rare color. The empty 6 pack looks good in the shot to.

Of the three air cooled 911's I had, the one I would like to have back the most is the '67 coupe. But I wish I could have a whole stable of my old cars.

Very nice! memories...

They were my favorite cars back then. Acutally Porsches have been my favorite since the '60s. I did like the Jags though as well, especially the E Type.

I sold my '80 Guards Red SC Targa in '85 so my wife could buy a new Corvrtte. She did, kept it for years, hardly drove it, sold it and bought a '99 Boxster which she still has.

I wish I still had the interior shots of my old SC. It worked so well with the exterior color.
