In case anyone is intersted in engine rebuild info, this manual, although great for the rest of the car, is not very detailed if you need to disassemble your engine. It covers only minor servicing and head removal. No bottom end information other than IMS.

Does the Bentley manual cover the OBDII codes? What about transmission and chassis like the WSM? I have the Porsche Factory WSM on CD with the OBDII manual and Diagnostic manual and it covers everything.

Mine arrived yesterday.... Well worth the $120 on Amazon.
It would be great to have hardbound and digital, but if I can have only one or the other, I'll take hardbound. I have digital versions of the service manuals for other vehicles, and while they are great for reading about a repair in your living room the day before, they kind of suck for actually working in the garage.

ordered mine from Amazon as well - should be wrapped and under the tree by now. A lot to be said for being married for awhile and getting to shop for ourselves. She buys what she wants, I buy what I want, less stressful, everyone happy. Perhaps not so romantic, but very functional. Isn't that what we are about anyway, function first? Don't like the looks of the headlights? So sorry, I think they work very well.
Still have three kids to shop for though, bigger kids, more expensive Christmas list.

Got mine off Amazon from Textbooks-R-Us for $115, shipped, brand new. I'm not as impressed. best book out there for the 996, but compared to say the Bentley for the E39 BMWs, falls WAY short. Of the course the E39 was a lot more, but I would pay more, if it had that kind of detail.
