Default Wheel spacer size suggestions?

I have a lowered '99 c2 with:
Front: 18x7.5 et50 with 225/40 tires
Rear: 18x10 et65 with 265/35 tires

The car was lowered by the previous owner but I don't know by how much. All I know is that it isn't H&R.

Attached are pics that may help. I'd like to get the "fullest" look possible without them sticking out looking like a ghetto vw. Help would be appreciated!

Depends on whether you are willing to have your fenders rolled. I would say 20mm spacers in the back and 10 or 15mm spacers up front would look pretty good.

PS while you are there get some new lug bolts

I used 7mm spacers from FVD Brombacher, front and rear, to keep the balance and handling correct, though I have 285/30 in rear. Comes with correct high quality lug bolts for about $200 the set, IIRC. Very pleased with the full, but not ghetto look, perfect balance, no vibration, hub centric. Mine is lowered with PSS9s to fender height 25 3/8F 25 1/2R. Fills the tops nicely, with out too much wash at the bottom. There are pics somewhere on here. Any more than 7mm in front is too much, IMHO, and I want to keep the balance correct. And while the rears could maybe go to 10mm, I will always take performance over just looks, but thats just me. I think Porsche only sells or approves up to 5mm spacers F & R, for the 996, IIRC, from reading years back. I really didn't think 2 more mm could make any difference. Tire widths vary way way more that that for the same size between brands.

Lots of people go with 7 or 15 mm in the front and 15 mm on the rear. I run 15mm all around, riding on ROW M030 suspension with 225/285 x 18 tires and find slight rubbing only at full lock when reversing.

You have one of the narrowest wheel tire combos. So you will need wide ones. The widest you can safely go without switching to the bolt on spacer type is about 15mm. You could run 15mm on both ends with your skinny wheels. I'd recommend a set of high strength wheel studs to replace the bolts as it will make your wheel changes MUCH easier. You'll need to buy longer bolts anyway so might as well switch to studs.

Update: I just ordered 7mm fronts and 18mm rears from Junior at Adaptec (a fantastic guy!).
18mm will probably be too much but I'd rather start wide and make my way down to get the perfect look.
If it's too much or looks dumb I'll just go with 15mm but I'm counting on my 265/35 tire to pull it off.
They should be here by the end of the week, pics to come!

Meanwhile, here pics to get an idea of what it might look like:

Update!
I installed the 7mm front and 18mm rear spacers tonight.
I'm happy with the result, the 18mm's don't stick out at all. Glad I went with them over 15mm.
As you can see from the pics I do think I need to roll the rear fenders though.
Here are some quick and dirty pics for now..
