Default Paint Code - GT Silver

I'm trying to figure out the paint code for my '04 40th Anniversary.

The color is GT Silver.

Based on things I've read on this site and other sites, the paintcode should be 3-digits based on the sticker on my hood. It looks like the paint code is "LM72" is that correct? It's 4 digits? Is that correct paint code?

Paint codes are often 2-3 digits. Try M7Z/U2

I have Ocean Blue Metallic (L3AZ), so it's 4 digits for mine, but as I recall, that was a special order color, so that could be why it's 4 digits vs. 3...but that's total conjecture.

Yoda, not sure what you ordered, but I just used Dr. Colorchip for the first time. I have quite a few chips on the front bumper of my 996 from previous owner, and it helped fix them up. No affiliation, just a good product.

Yup, and there's where I got the "paint code" from. I was trying to figure out if I was looking at the correct number/letter combo, or my sticker was funky.

Yes sir I have! I guess the simple answer would have been to ask on the 40th thread. :P

(Crap how do you multi quote on this thing!?)

Wait does this mean '04 GT Silver is diff than '05 GT Silver? Could they be different shades or something?

That's good to hear, I thought Dr. Colorchip didn't work well with silvers...

Honestly, haven't really had time to drive her around. I've filled up the tank once since I got her, and that was because I drove like 150miles to get her home. Just been busy with work and all.

But I will say, when I do get to drive her, it puts a grin on my face. Which is pretty amazing, because I've owned some very fun cars before.

GT Silver is listed as paint code M7Z from 1999 to 2005, (not M72 as someone said earlier in thread).
