Paintless dent repair and a little polishing compound?
seriously though....doesn't look like structural damage....if you can get it for the salvage buy-out it may be worth it..take off the bumpers, smooth them out, same with the hood...bondo the bodywork you can't remove, get a wrap for the car, and race the **** out of it....

To answer your question,
If I was keeping the engine and trans for my own personal stock, id go as much as 5k
If I was buying it as a "cant say no" $2500
But thats just my opinion and what i would be willing to go.

This. With the front sheet metal taken off, you can get the body straight with like ~$1K of paintless dent repair work. They'll pop the roof and doors with absolutely no issues and quarter panels to like 95% (100% if they can get to it from inside).

But all in all, this car is a project car if somone has the time for it. It's a oppertunity for an enthusiast that knows what he's doing to take advantage.
New LED tails... Clear corners new front bumper as it is plastic or just re-sprayed. All metal would need PDR and it looks like most of the top surfaces have been affected. The expensive part would be replacing all the glass and the front headlights.
Also depends on the condition of the car overall. I would get a PPI first in regards to the mechanics of it all. Then calculate the cosmetic damage.
If you are a DIY type of guy, this would be the time to install all the lighting yourself, take the front bumper off for a re-spray or upgrade the bumper and clean the rads at the same time, etc, etc, etc....

I don't understand...if the insurance company is going to "total" the car, simple offer to buy it back from them. Once it's totalled, it can't be sold for street use anyway...I guess the laws might be different where you are. If they can recoup some of the money they paid out to total it, more than they'd make sending it to a dismantler....then they'd sell it to you.

For all we know it was sitting outside because the guy's Veyron was in the garage. I don't know where hail country is, but my area probably qualifies and I don't worry much about leaving my car outside. It's just a car. I guess I wouldn't consider myself "less worthy" of owning a Porsche if it ever got hailed on. Life goes on.
