Question Trim polishing product recommendation?!?

I'm looking for something to use to polish/restore/get rid of the oxidation on the plastic trim and metal areas at the base of the side mirrors? I've been using alot of Meguiar's products but haven't tried their ultimate black, because it only mentions rubber and plastic. Will it work on the metal too? Or is there something you all would recommend different?

Is it possible to post some pictures? I can better advise you if I can see the condition of the affected area.

I always wax the rubber trim around all of the windows with Meguires Gold and use "Back to Black" for the area below the wipers and all of the black trim under the front trunk.
A trick for the engime compartment is to get the engine really clean than saturate everything in the engine compartment with Armor All and start the engine. Let it sit there and idle for about 15 minutes and get nice and hot. The Armor All will dry oil free and everything eill look new again.

You can use some liquid polishing compound on that black around the mirrors than finish up with Meguires Gold.

Back To Black works well, but it takes LOTS of elbow grease...

Once you get it looking good, maintain it by following my instructions. My '99 could pass for a brand new car because I'm nuts.

Random orbital buffer and plastix worked great on my headlights.

Here is the mirror base area I was talking about - I believe it is aluminum...

Thats an easy fix. Use Maguires Polishing compound first to get rid of the dull white stuff and finish with any wax or polish. That trim around the mirror is plastic.

Use griots garage bumper and trim reconditioner. Looks like a shoe polish bottle. It's a dye and will last for years.
