Default Did some leather seat work--looks pretty good

Last week I conditioned the leather with Bicks #4. You can get it wherever exotic cowboy boots are sold. Don't know where Yankees can find it. The seats really soaked it up. Definately softened them and improved the appearance. Today I found a cream (not polish--polish has wax that dries out leather) to match the Savannah Beige interior nearly perfectly: Melatonin Camel. I hit the leather bolsters and headrests (both sides). I did not do the inside perforated parts between the bolsters because I knew I wouldn't be able to buff it out from the holes well and would get it on my clothes every time I sat down for the next month. The conditioner seemed to be good enough. The outside bolsters on both seats were showing a little cracking from sliding into the car and the cream filled the color back in. It didn't heal the cracks. Guess you would need Neosporin and bandaids for that. Just passing on my regimen for anyone who may need it.

I would rate the lotion as the best thing for the condition, health and feel of the leather and the cream for the appearance and color restoration. Avoid animal fats like Mink Oil as they can turn rancid.

Apply liberally and let it soak in then wipe off with a dry cloth. You'll eventually buff it off (like a shoe shine) and that will make it shine and remove the residue. The cream tends to seal so you'll want to use the lotion (Bicks) first. Good luck Kromdom.

kromdom, let me know if you find it... I am out here in San Marcos, so not far.

Thanks again rwiii. I was considering leatherique. So this maybe a nice stop-gap.

Almost bought some from Amazon but good thing I checked Bickmore's dealer locator......actually have a horse feed store just around the corner from my house which carry Bickmore 4 (8 and 16 oz bottles) for much less. Will pay them a visit tomorrow.

Looks like there is one in San Marcos http://www.bickmore.com/bickmore/dealer_locator.html#ca

FYI Kromdom, 8oz is a lifetime supply. By contrast the little jar of camel colored cream barely got the job done. It's designed for shoes and our seats represent lots of them! Please let me know if it worked out for you.

wife's car and daughter's truck both have leather seats (plus the P-car). And I own at least 8 leather jackets (have 2 motorcycles)....which is why I'm leaning towards the 16 oz

I would characterize that as a Tall Boy and there's nothing wrong with that! Please let me know how it works out.
